Gone private...

We have decided to make our blog private, despite this being somewhat tedious for other readers. But due to a strange reader/commenter (see comment #7 on my last post) I'm convinced this is best. Thanks for the loyal fans who will still check in on us!!

Three cheers for a face-lift!

Our blog really needed a face-lift and I finally did it today! Now just logging onto my blog makes me happy, even if there aren't any new comments. Thank you to Sarah Roundy for the link to cute and free templates!

St. George...a little too eventful

Well, we headed joyfully down to St. George for what we thought would be another relaxing conference weekend, interspersed with biking, swimming, tennis, and rollerblading. Well, the first day down there I went mountain biking and had a fall. I was actually doing the ride-around of one of the most technical parts of the trail when I hit loose dirt, panicked and grabbed both brakes (the biggest no-no of biking is to hit your front brake). I actually tumbled/somer-saulted down a small ravine--probably a 4 foot drop off. Well, Saturday we were doing the same trail between conference sessions. At one point you have to get around a gate, either by getting off and walking or riding arou

Spokane

Marian and I went on our own big adventure to Spokane to visit my sister Carrie, her husband Luke, and their 2 girls Abby and Katie (who was born exactly 1 week after Marian). My little sister Jennie flew up the day after we did, so we all partied and had so much fun! Wishing Adam could be there was the only downside. We took one afternoon to go into downtown Spokane and see some of the sights there. The Spokane River goes right through downtown with a big waterfall that is quite impressive. We went to a Children's Museum which was entertaining for all of us, then out to dinner. Another day we went to an Easter egg hunt (indoor due to the snow) which was crazy but fun. The rest of the time we enjoyed hanging out and watching Marian and Katie. I was so impressed by Carrie's homemaking, cooking, and mothering skills. I loved being part of her world for a couple days. I love this video of Marian and Katie giving each other kisses! (It's pretty typical of their personalities--M
